Established in 2013 in the vibrant city of Kolkata, we are a passionate ensemble of artists dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape through the medium of theatre. Driven by our love for storytelling and a commitment to social consciousness, we strive to create thought-provoking performances that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds.
Founded by a group of passionate theatre enthusiasts, Drishti Ekhon Theatre Group embarked on its journey with a commitment to excellence and innovation. Over the years, we have staged a diverse range of productions, from classic dramas to contemporary works, garnering acclaim and recognition within the theatrical community.

Our Mission
At Drishti Ekhon Theatre Group, our mission is to harness the power of theatre as a tool for change. We believe in the transformative potential of live performance to provoke dialogue, inspire empathy, and ignite social change. Through our productions, we aim to address pressing issues facing our society and encourage critical reflection on the world around us.
Aims and Objects
To promote cultural, social, literary and creative awareness, various forms of performing arts and to garner cultural and creative spirit amongst the people from the country and globally at large irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, region, political affiliation of different walks of life.
To publish or cause to the published useful literature, papers, Souvenir, magazines etc. without profit motive.
To arrange and organize lectures, debates, discussions, field work, workshop etc. based on different subjects/issues for the knowledge of the people.
To perform good drama, plays, Group Theatre, dance, song, dance drama etc. with special responsibilities which will help to build a nobler human society irrespective of caste, cred and religion.
To participate in different competitions all over India and abroad.
To cultivate the spirit of culture among the member of the society by holding art, music, drama, dance-drama, songs, Group Theatre, Cultural programmes / activities;
To help the needy students of all communities for the prosecution of studies;
To collect & preserve manuscripts, paining, sculptures, mechanical and scientific instruments and designs;
To impart vocational training and education to all section of the society.
Our Vision
Our vision is to foster a thriving theatre community in Kolkata and beyond, where artists are empowered to explore their creativity and audiences are engaged in meaningful cultural experiences. We aspire to be a catalyst for social transformation, using our platform to amplify marginalized voices and advocate for positive change.
